Why is this the first I’ve heard of this? ? I watch the local and national news daily!!! Perhaps it would be most appropriate to do more to alert the immediate public so these baby girls can be found!!

I agree, I watch the news, the justice channel daily too, why does the system continuously fail the children and families. I see reports of missing children daily, missing for 40 yrs, 20yrs, what about now. I just don’t get it. Child abuse, missing, death, WTF!!

I agree there is not enough that’s being done when a child goes missing plaster it everywhere over and over again until they are found.

OK, these notices come from out of the blue and include nothing about where she was last seen or with who. So, we share this and then find out she was reported found as far back as March 28 and we aren’t told. Why was this not in a news alert when it was first decided she was a missing person. This is pretty sloppy work.

Not odd sadly. I am not by any means saying always, but in lower income households, names like this are popular. People refer to them in ways I won’t say out of respect for this family but I have worked with many, many families with daughters named Heaven, Serenity, Eternity, etc. I bet if they had stats on it, most girls with these names are runaways. Not all, but many. So glad she was found.

There is an event coming up, that’s goal is to bring awareness to missing persons, as well as strive to get necessary changes made to our system regarding how these cases are handled.. if you have something that you feel needs addressed, bring it up in the discussions on the event page.
In previous years this event only focused on missing children, this year is the first year that they will also be including missing adults and found unidentified.

-Come meet families of the missing. Families of those we have lost, and help raise awareness for Washington’s long term missing.
Come learn about Washington States Missing Persons. Our unidentified persons in the care of county coroners statewide. Come learn about those whose lives were lost, and learn about valuable programs available to help if you are in need.
Come meet your legislators and public officials as they learn about this cause right along with you.
